With the stopping of much investigative journalism by the MSM and the rise in social media, we rely on people like you to fill in the gaps and keep us informed. Especially as our government is so full of BS and spin (lies really).
People lead busy lives and sound bites are easy to manipulate or message control. This is the downside of modern media.
And everyone needs to live and pay their way because it’s only a certain type of person who has the brass gonads to say, “I’m rich, so I’m sorted!”
So, strength to your arm and as long as my super is there, I will subscribe.
I hope I did that all correctly Mountain Tui. A years sub and $25 a month for your coffee lol Got to have our coffee. All the best for your support drive. You deserve it, as you write well and your research is first class .Patricia and Norman
Dear Mountain Tui I’m so grateful for your Frank discussion of all these horrible details which are being uncovered. All of your readers are so grateful to you and you must appreciate that we do want to support you maybe you could put your sub up? I want you to have enough money to live on And keep on doing this valuable work. So let us know if we can increase the sub. Thank you.💕❤️
It’s a hard one because I want to make my work accessible - and often think about others’ wallets and don’t want to impinge - but there are fees and everything that comes out so it’s an in-between land for now.
The options I have now for more support is founding subscribers - which means folks can choose an amount up to the founding member amount - but also now on Ko-Fi which allows folks to support/donate as a once off or even regularly: https://ko-fi.com/mountaintui
I subscribed last week. You definitely need as much support as we can give. You are doing great work for all of us. I share your stuff as much as I can. Thank you so much for the investigative stuff you do. You're amazing.
If it will make you feel any better, your blog is the only paid subscription that I've bothered to get so far. I need to widen my circle of friends because there's only about 4 people that I can share your blogs with. I want them to sign up as paid subscribers to you because I want them to read all your blogs like I do & I want them to pay you for the paid only blogs but it has to be their choice etc. I see your blog mentioned on Bryce Edwards political roundup & Big Hairy News on you tube. If you want I will share more of your paid only content with my friends. Sometimes I see a head line for a story in the Herald & in have no qualms about getting friend to email me the story from his paid subscription bur I reckon you deserve to be paid for your content more than aunty herald. I'm often tempted to sign on for a paid sub' to Bernard Hickey. I wish that there was away that citizen journos had access to the resources & movers & shakers that mainstream media have, without big tech acting as the middle man etc. Stay calm & carry on there'll be time to sleep when we're dead.
Geoffrey - introverts unite. I am a rather private person who enjoys deeper friendships rather than voluminous so I hear you. Your words mean a lot - as does your note here. Thank you.
I noticed your wisdom & insight; therefore I am subscribed. I belong to several, as I really appreciate the scrutiny that you & others place on this govt; it is very important. It is hard times; I do share, & I hope you soon make enough to thrive. Thank you for the mahi.
I am very grateful for your contributions to informing New Zealand of the duplicitous nature of many of our present government members. I always enjoy your writings. I am on a limited income and am unable to become a paid member, but I will continue to promote your writings.
Heya mountain tui. I've put through a sub, you do great work. Subscribing is something I've been meaning to do. I'm trying to lay off on stress snacking I'll pop that money to you while I can.
I admire your commitment to holding the government to account. I desperately want to, and have started many bits of video and writing, but I've been in an extended mode of autistic burnout, and my brain doesn't quite have the gumption of my uni days. It's vital to be politically aware, but it can be tiring. So, know that you inspire me, you're beihg more than aware, youre raising awareness. So many people that are using their intelligence, and creativity against this selfish government inspire me. I know we're all very tired at points,
I don't know how I would do without seeing people speaking out. It would be very lonely. So, thank you! All the best.
Your note is so meaningful and people like me stand with you. I understand the concept of burnout and the degree and volume of information coming at us from this new political circle can feel overwhelming. Thank you for your note.
Hi mountain Tui. I've only just come across you via BHN.. many do have their hands outstretched for some cash.. which I do understand but can't always assist with but you are in luck. I signed in to the Helen Clark foundation but after her negative remarks about the Atlas group And a few other reasons I signed out.. she ain't a labour politician and she doesn't need the money.. my small offering will therefore come to you.
Further I've been involved in assisting kiwi families in dire circumstances in Australia.. due to the policies of Clarks Government policies that saw them stranded in some terrible situations. I wanted to see where she was at now so joined the foundation but have withdrawn from that after her disparaging remarks about the left.. there were other remarks tooo. I don't feel inclined to give her money that is more deserved and needed by others . Kia Kaha.
Sorry, I was trying to say that I can't help money-wise at the moment, and I discovered that I couldn't edit what got poted. Love your work, tho, Mountain Tui! Thank you.

MT for a writer who was not formally trained as such, you'd run rings around even some of the better journos :). You're the reason I'm on th

Dear Frankie - I have to admit I am highly critical of Atlas group too. :-)
Nga mihi,
Tui
My point was Hel b Clark claims it doesn't exist . Not in NZ.. that it's a left wing fantasy .
Got it! Cheers Frankie. Thank you for your kind message and this clarification. Nga mihi.

Who wouldn't be negative about right wing think tanks?
I found Helen’s facebook clips go by too quick; I cannot get her message.
Introverts unite, that's me too. Is there an option for gift subscription?
The IUC - Introverts United Club !
There is an option for that - I think it comes up if you look at the subscription screen - I can't test it myself, but positive the last tab is "Gift"
Cheers.

All good Vicki! Thank you for your note and for letting me know, happy you're here :-)
Cheers,

Thank you so much, and that's "posted", not poted, of course!
The word 'poted' actually sounds cool :-)
Cheers Vicki!
