Tino pai, again. The cynical side of me wonders how much of Dr Reti’s investment in private sector health care is with ‘telecare’ operators?

Ah Keith, thank you for the reminder. The rot runs deep, and although I spent the first 7-8 months desperately trying to understand where they were coming from i.e. "There must be something I'm missing here," I now think that cynicism might be the more accurate side of the coin when it comes to this Coalition government.

Wishing you a wonderful day and thanks again. I'll make a mental note of that one.

Dr Reti is busy working to package up our public hospitals for sale to AIG the conglomerate American health insurance provider. Cleared public hospital land will make excellent housing estates with services in situ plus ACC is a deal sweetener holding $50b in investments as it does. Problem of aging hospitals and shortage of medicos solved by privatising. Just don't tell anyone yet ...

Would they be that blatant? I guess anything is possible under this lot though, but I suspect they will be drip feeding it, as they are doing with all their big privatization steps.

Bloody hell Tui.

When is it going to end? Dildo and Nick's willie are seriously out of their depth and Cigareti should go back to taking temperatures ya wouldnt want him to manage a piss up in a brewery.

It is becoming more and more apparent that they are middle management lackeys in the big corporate take over.

Very good article and video. Really enjoyed the well chosen sound track. Very appropriate. I too suspect that privatization is on the way and Levy who has been cosy with both Treasury and Luxon will be their man. I still find it unbelievable that Luxon can stand at a Press conference and blatantly lie. The irritable behavior is becoming more apparent.

Yes, it is becoming more apparent. But the blatant misrepresentation is not what we deserve, and I hope more will become aware of what is truly at stake. Thanks for your comments Cheryl!

I acted on the sale of two kindergartens to Macquarie Bank 30 years ago. The bank was after the land as much as the kindys which it franchised.

Private Hospitals are 49% owned by local doctors/ specialists and they'll be sweet with privatisation.

I saw (took part in) the packaging of Housing Corp assets (state housing and the then $6b. Mtge assets) to FayRich and the Oz Banks. If kiwi were smart we would re-join Oz (federate) get rid of our penny ante Pollys Luxon and his ilk. Think of the gold medals we would get and of course stem the brain drain

The Chief Executive of Health stated that "if it wasn't for the pay equity agreement we would be closer to budget" at a recent media event. This clearly indicates that the government chose to underfunding Health. That agreement was made last year and they knew it was coming.

The government chose not to fund it.

In any other area, that would be incompetent and you would lose your job.

100% Carl, I did up a video this morning that hopefully helps to illustrate how brazen their lies are: https://mountaintui.substack.com/p/curious-case-of-health-nz-vs-the

Also, when I wrote about them the evening of their Dr Levy appointment, I agreed with Hipkins who said the government came across as "desperate."

We now know why, but what does it say about them to think we are all fools? That's the bigger question to my mind.

Of note - this is becoming a very clear and persistent pattern.
