The success of Atlas policies is undoubtedly tied to the average citizen being unaware of the machinations going on behind the scenes, and unfortunately not caring that they are unaware. When you add on control of much of the media you can see that Atlas is a scarily effective force. What puzzles me still is the blind support of their foot soldiers, people like Seymour and Jordan Williams - what’s in it for them? They’re not that smart but with massive resources they carry a lot of power…

Keith this is so worrying!

Strong unions are our only hope and Atlas are very aware of that, they look to destroy unionism from every angle.

Unfortunately it appears the government are systematically destroying multiple avenues of strength in our system of democracy - and yes unions are a large part of that.

A young Seymour, under Koch Brothers money, was already anti-union from a young age, and he has battled the teachers' unions over charter schools before so I'm not surprised by any of this.

But it's really important to note this is National Party doing all of this - it doesn't matter what excuses Luxon provides. He is facilitating the destruction of workers and unions rights.

Not surprising I suppose - he doesn't care for anyone but the "elites" truth be told.

I totally agree MT!!

Scary. It will take a very organised and concerted effort to defeat this and I don’t see it.

There's a discrepancy of money, organisation and resources

Interesting to note that Reti, Levi & Co want to privatise radiology services as Pacific Radiology here in Dunedin are currently building a massive 4 or 5 story unit just down from our old hospital and quite close to where our new hospital is ‘rumoured’ to be built.

Plausible deniability is their strength but it’s be nice if NZ had an anti corruption body.

I’m not much of a conspiracy theorist, so when I started to hear about Atlas, I thought that’s what it might be.

I changed my mind. The evidence is clear.

And yes! NZ needs an anti corruption body.

Ditto. I’m someone who usually turns off immediately at such concepts, so I also empathize with those who don’t find it if relevance.

Anti corruption is a must do regardless!
