Some changes are coming

And I'd like to explain why

Warm welcome again to those who are here.

The Mountain Tui substack was officially started on the 2nd of July. I wrote about what led me here on this post.

Since then, it’s been a learning to navigate the platform, get to meet those in the community, and basically be oriented into a completely new world.

It’s been nice.

And during this time, I’ve had many readers generously pledge subscriptions. I’ve felt very touched and honoured.

The facts are that I write because I believe in all of us, and in our future as a community and country. If my writing helps in any small way, for any reason, then I have done my job.

And mainly I do it because I believe in transparency, and that information and community will help us stand taller together - as the face of politics, reporting, and social dynamics change.

I’ll be turning paid subscriptions on but want everyone who has an interest to keep reading.
