I tried to write something positive over the weekend

And failed

Over the weekend, I really wanted to write a more uplifting post. I read political developments, and a lot of it hasn’t felt very positive. But I wanted to share something positive with those that share time and space here.

Instead, I encountered writers’ block.

The most I could come up with is this government’s depravity is leading many to become more engaged and politically aware. We are seeing the results of our former apathy or perhaps even laziness in trusting others without question. Not everyone of course - there are many who have been active for years - but I am guilty, at least.

The other thing for me was, I feel it’s so important for each person who is engaged and aware to find time away from the Mad Hatter house, to find refuge in something greater and uplifting - an inner sanctuary if you will - to ensure that each person can maintain a pool of positivity, hope, and joy even amidst any ugliness and turbulence.

For some, that might be time in nature. For others, sport or music.…
