🤷 I am SOOOOO surprised that the violent crime "stats" weren't stats at all taken from actual factual Police sources, but rather a "survey" /s - who the AF bases govt policy on serious matters on a SURVEY instead of reality? And 🤬 APOLOGISIING for telling the truth about gangs numbers 🤮👿⁉️

🥺 It is a huge concern that formerly trustworthy sources of information are being destroyed in front of our eyes because MOST everyday people don't dig deeper or keep up with these changes so that they are more cautious about what they believe - John Oliver did a good piece on X-crement the other night & traced the start of the ICE invasion of Minneapolis to viral mis/disinformation being shared on that & other fact-averse platforms. And the Guardian just did a piece on alternative platforms people can use instead of Google & Bing et al to get non-algorithmic biased search results, plus e-mail providers & work platforms that don't spy on you 👍
It is on my to-do list to investigate & change where practicable. I know I am not likely to be a target for information harvesting on my own account, but in the past people who ARE targets have been got to via other people in their lives (not that anyone I KNOW of would be a target, but fascism-adjacent regimes often target people who are dangerous just because they speak the TRUTH eh ⁉️) and who knows what innocent connections might be viewed otherwise by bad actors in the future... 😢 Anyway, I just find it creepy that nameless faceless organisations using humanless ruthless AI bots could be trolling through my & my whanau's information, just because they can 🤮
(BTW There's a business opportunity there for goodfaith techy types to help us less capable navigate through uncoupling from big tech via low cost webinars or similar 🤗)

We (the people) are being groomed/ manipulated into believing the mis and disinformation being said and written by this coalition Govt and their backers. Looking into the Gorton and Denton by-election (UK) it’s clear, communication is everything.
There was the recent Zack Polanski video when he started walking and then running showing how life runs away from you trying to keep up (linked it recently here under a Mountain Tui post). Now the Green candidate winning the by-election - she’s a down to earth plumber - made it so clear why everyone not part of the top 1% is struggling.
Go The Greens, adopt the same message (more important than gender politics).
