It was heartbreaking watching Chippy on TV. last night and he's done the rounds this morning. Ryan Bridge was a complete arse - he is so thick that man. Breakfast interview was much better. I know Chippy well. We were Labour Whips together and MP colleagues. I never saw a mean bone in his body and I am sad his ex has done this - not just for him, but for all of us, because actually there are a lot more things to be talking about than this. Everyone has an opinion ; even the lefties BHN are obsessed pulling apart every word said like a Mills and Boon novel. The intern allegation has been cleared up, but there is no way to verify one way or another the other claims. Me, I'm worried about the war, the madness engulfing the world and the impact it will have on us (already is). Stay strong Tui. Look forward to hearing from you again when you can.
The interview with Chippie yesterday was so genuine and heartfelt I would find it difficult to understand why he wouldn't be believed. Do you think it could work for him in that many will have empathy,understanding and perhaps experience of a similar situation ( as far as an ex partner goes)?

And I have to suggest: What we’re seeing now is a really determined effort from the DARK SIDE to muddy the political waters. It’s a Steve Bannon trick: “Flood the zone with shit”.
And let us never forget that the FBI has a set-up in Wellington, which to all accounts and purposes may already be starting to exert nefarious influence.

Your suggestion that we step out of our echo chambers, is really important if we are to remove this coalition in November. The left wing parties might not have the funds for promoting themselves, but they have us! Since last year, I have deliberately ventured into a couple of such sites as I believe we need to counter the half truths that are being promoted out there. A sentence or two in everyday language might just help swing someone's opinion. But, even although we are working in a digital environment, it can still feel pretty alarming when you stir up resistance, so it is encouraging to receive the occasional tick of approval or supportive comment from fellow adventurers from here.
